LSU missed on a 2-point conversion try in the third overtime and lost to Arkansas, 50-48, knocking the Tigers out of the college football national title chase. Great! The BCS system is absurd and now another highly ranked team has fallen, throwing the national title game into chaos. One more piece of evidence that shows why we need a playoff system.
The LSU loss pretty much leaves the following teams alive for the two slots: Missouri and Kansas (who play Saturday), West Virginia (who plays UConn) and Ohio State (done for the regular season). Another BCS mess.–Jim Buzinski
