The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Miami Dolphins, 3-0, Monday night on a 24-yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining. It was the longest an NFL game had gone scoreless since 1943 and lowest-scoring Monday night game in history. The Steelers had laid new turf down over the weekend and heavy rains turned it into slop. The game was fascinating to watch, in a perverted sort of way. I was rooting for a scoreless tie. Miami is now 0-11. —Jim Buzinski
