GPL is the ONLY organized gay polo league in the world! In 2008, GPL achieved several milestones – membership grew to more than 40 active members, GPL competed in polo tournaments, GPL traveled as an “out” league to several polo destinations. We developed a riding / instruction program to teach members how to play polo. The GPL gained momentum in the gay and lesbian national and international community through active promotion at festivals, exposure on Outsports.com and by an article published in reFresh magazine, a London publication. In 2008, GPL launched our Web site. Modernly, GPL’s membership consists of West and East Coast members as well as members from Sydney and Buenos Aires! GPL is a bona-fide INTERNATIONAL GAY POLO LEAGUE!

The Falcons have now become a Long Beach cult classic, made up of C- and D-division teams. Our team puts on the best fundraisers from Drag, to Togas to Leather. We also have been involved in several volunteer events within the community from rededicating city landmarks to Toys for Tots drives to AIDS Food bank fundraising events. So check us out!
