West Hollywood Aquatics
West Hollywood, California
Masters Swimming
Founded: 1982

West Hollywood Aquatics (WH2O) provided a good source of athletic camaraderie in what is largely considered to be the epicenter of the current fight for equality: Los Angeles County. Whether representing the LGBT community at national swim meets or simply serving Los Angeles residents with a sociable recreational activity, our team continues to promote inclusion, sportsmanship, and fitness. Oh, and we’ve been known to do drag, too.
Seattle Frontrunners
Seattle, Washington
Running and track
Founded: 1983

Seattle Frontrunners is the best sports club due to its diversity, energy, talent and generosity, We have casual runners who run once a week to those who are very competitive. The distant runners combined with the very active track program has allowed us to bag more medals than other Frontrunners team at past Gay & Outgames. On the social side we hang out together after our runs, have potlucks and go hiking together. The great diversity of ages (20-82) adds to the energy as you don’t often find places where twenty somethings comfortably mixing with 50 year olds. Running and being gay are the threads that bonds us. In the past year we have through our Run with Pride and participation in the AIDS walk raised over 18K which was given to local gay causes.
