After a month of voting, we’re thrilled to announce that Madison Gay Hockey Association has been named our top gay sports group of the year. They won three rounds of popular voting and ultimately were chosen by our panel of judges as the ultimate winner.
They haven't been around for a long time, but their organization has been fantastic. They have focused on outreach not only to prospective (mostly gay) players, but they've also reached out to local schools to help support young gay people and their friends in Gay-Straight Alliances.

Kudos to them for all their hard work. For their victory, they receive high praise and $250 from Outsports, which we’re sure they’ll put to good use.
And thanks to everyone who participated in the contest. We learned a lot about so many great organizations, and we hope everyone will be back for the contest next year.
