The Sun reports that Mickey Rourke has taken an interest in the story of openly gay rugger Gareth Thomas, and that a film is in the works. Outsports has also heard from an anonymous source that a film on Thomas' life is making its way toward the silver screen.
Rourke seems like a good choice, except for the fact that he looks like a weathered 57-year-old; Thomas is just now 35. But if 8-foot-tall blue people can wage a war on a foreign planet, I suppose the magic of Hollywood can take 20 years off the Wrestler.
