This Saturday, July 10, is “Pride in the Park Day” at the Houston Astros’ home game against the St. Louis Cardinals; And the City of Houston has even issued a proclamation declaring it! From organizer Trevor Eade:

At this time we know we have more than 400 tickets sold, specific to the URL provided by the Houston Astros (for our fundraising efforts), and we know that there are several corporate suites that have been set aside for their LGBT employees and their guests…and many others have purchased tickets via other ticketing options, so I think we will be well over 500 participants specific to this celebration.

It’s great to see not only a strong community response to the event, but also to see it embraced by the Astros. That is the kind of partnership that makes these events so successful. I wish I was going to be in Houston this Saturday!

You can still buy tickets here.
