Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current Fox NFL analyst Troy Aikman and his wife of 10 years Rhonda have called it quits.

“This has been a difficult decision for Rhonda and me, but after 10 years of marriage we have decided to separate,” Aikman tells The Dallas Morning News. “We remain deeply committed to our children and respectfully ask that you honor our family’s privacy during this period of adjustment.”

The “Is Troy Aikman gay?” questions have been asked for 20 years since Aikman joined the Cowboys. He has denied them and they have died down in the 10 years since he was married and bore two children by Rhonda. They will likely start again with this news. I don’t know what Aikman’s orientation is, nor do I care (absent a public coming out). He’s a good analyst, seems like a good guy so wish him (and his ex) well regardless of whether he’s gay, straight, bi, questioning or a closeted Redskins fan.
