Jake Dalton

The eight-man U.S. Olympic men's gymnastics team was announced on Sunday. Danell Leyva and John Orozco earned automatic spots on Saturday at the Olympic trials by placing in the top two overall and also excelling at individual events. The other three initial spots were handed to Jake Dalton, Jonathan Horton and Sam Mikulak. Mikulak was the interesting selection, as he has battled injuries for various parts of the last year and was not able to complete the full rotation over the last two events. If he or anyone else is unable to go, they'll be replaced by one of the three alternates: Chris Brooks, Steven Legendre or Alex Naddour.
