The Vancouver Canucks will join You Can Play founder Patrick Burke in the Vancouver Pride Parade this Sunday, Aug. 5. Representing the Canucks will be forward Manny Malhotra and the team’s mascot, Fin.
“I’m thrilled to be able to show my support for You Can Play,” said Manny Malhotra. “It’s paramount that equality in sport, and beyond, becomes the norm. Everybody has the right to play the game they love. I am excited to share this message of equality and show my support this Sunday.”

This isn’t just one player joining the Parade, this is an entire NHL team — player, executives, owner — getting behind this effort. This kind of thing doesn’t happen without that support. Be sure to cheer loud for them on the parade route this Sunday!
