Openly gay Olympians Blake Skjellerup (speed skating, New Zealand) and Matthew Mitcham (diving, Australia) joined The Project Australia to talk about the new Russian anti-gay law and how it could affect the Olympics. While Mitcham dove in China, where there are no anti-discrimination civil rights laws, Skjellerup is set to race in Sochi, where the new law makes it illegal for him to wave a rainbow flag in public.
These two young men are a couple of powerful advocates for all LGBT athletes. Check out the segment here:
