The Los Angeles Dodgers will play host to their second "gay night" Friday, Aug. 22, in a home game against the New York Mets. The national anthem will be performed by Mary Lambert and the opening pitch will be tossed out by Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson (with whom I once got into a Twitter spat because he played up the stereotype that gay men don't know anything about sports). From the event description:

Stay after the game and enjoy a Friday Night Fireworks show from the field, set to the music of DJ Manny Lehman.

The All-You-Can-Eat seating option includes unlimited Dodger dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, Coca-Cola products and water! Interested in other food options? The Bud Light Bar, Think Blue BBQ and Tommy's Trattoria are just a few steps away.

If you haven't been to Dodger Stadium, it really is a special place to watch a baseball game. The outfield sits below the western horizon, and with the opening pitch set for 7:10pm, it's sure to be a beautiful night.

Be sure to grab your tickets now for what sounds like a great night out at Dodger Stadium! Ticket options range from $40-$90. If you think it’s pricey for a night out with Major League Baseball, we think it’s a great deal especially with the all-you-can-eat food, the celebrities and the Tom Whitman experience!
