During the NFL Kickoff game between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks, DirecTV aired a commercial featuring a gay male couple that got a bunch of people buzzing on Twitter. The commercial (above) features two men crashing through a wall in “embrace” and saying:

“Chris and I have a friendly rivaly: GiantsCowboys. You know the deal. … Sure, we still argue sometimes. But we’re just like any couple, really.”

Until they reveal they're a couple it looks like one is trying to tackle the other. Looking at them as a gay couple, the "tackle" and expressions make it clear it's an embrace.

Certainly the commercial was shot before Tuesday, but it is quite the coincidence that one of the men is wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey. The Cowboys, as you surely know, signed Michael Sam to their practice squad. The Giants have one of the strongest pro-LGBT records in the NFL despite the controversy that recently erupted around the hiring of David Tyree.
