As the PanAm Games kick off this weekend, several LGBT-focused events will continue to demonstrate Canada's commitment to building inclusion of LGBT people in sports.

Next week, The 519 will host a Sport Inclusion Summit focused on building inclusion at the recreational level of sport. The 519 is a City of Toronto agency "committed to the health, happiness and full participation of the LGBTQ community."

"To ensure that sport and recreation is accessible and welcoming to people of all identities, ages and ability levels we're drawing together leading voices from five distinct and vital fields —Municipal Parks and Recreation Departments, Provincial and National Sport Organizations, LGBT Sport Organizations, the Pride House Movement and the Educational Sector."

The 519 is also hosting The Huddle, a night of inspiring ideas and discussion from LBGT athletes and advocates, in conjunction with You Can Play. Hosted by TSN's Gareth Wheeler and featuring Anna Aagnes (You Can Play), Eric Radford (Canadian Olympic Figure Skater) HUDDLE is part of The 519's Sport Inclusion Summit.

Radford came out publicly on Outsports.com late last year to much fanfare.

All throughout the PanAm Games, Pride House Toronto will be in full swing to welcome LGBT people to the city for the big event. The Pride House Pavilion will be located at The 519 (519 Church Street) with a lounge, events and educational programming.
