Linda Villumsen, an out cyclist who competes for New Zealand, has won the world time trials championships in cycling for the first time in her illustrious career.
As gaynz.com pointed out, her partner, retired cyclist Emma Trott, has not held back her pride in her partner's huge victory:
Must admit having this as my background photo just keeps making me smile! #proud #happy #mygirl pic.twitter.com/9a0P00IGNT

I had a feeling yesterday @LVillumsen would win! She told me to keep my mouth shut I make her nervous! #bloodyproud

Villumsen previously finished third in the world time trials championship three times and second twice. She was the Danish national champion in 2006, 2008 and 2009 before moving to New Zealand.
While the Tour de France leader wears a yellow jersey, the world champion sports a rainbow jersey. Fitting that Villumsen would slip into a rainbow jersey for her big title.
