Magic Johnson has long been on the inclusive side of history when it comes to LGBT issues. When his son, EJ, came out publicly, Magic and his wife, Cookie, couldn't have been more supportive.

So when boxer Manny Pacquiao said gay people were "worse then animals," Magic wasn't having it. He posted on Twitter his plans to boycott any Pacquiao fights going forward.

In 2008, Magic recorded robo-calls for the No On 8 campaign in California, which aimed to defeat a ballot measure that ultimately ended the right of same-sex couples to marry in the state.
