Team DC held its annual fashion show and model search to fund scholarships for LGBT athletes.
The event is a fundraiser for the Team DC College Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to LGBT student-athletes from the D.C. area. In 2015 the event generated enough funds to award a record nine college scholarships.
Proceeds were raised from auctioning clothes off of the models and this year's fashions featured Whiskey Ginger, Inseam Clothing & Supply, Rufskin, C-IN2, Ex Nihilo Tees, FM Leather Design, TrickBox, Bite the Fruit, UnderBriefs, Mensuas, Fireboy, Skiviez and Universal Gear.
The models represented rugby, flag football, rowing, skiing, dodgeball, running, softball, darts and bocce. They competed for cash prizes, the cover of Compete Magazine and a photo shoot with fashion photographer Robert Mercer.
Applications for the 2016 scholarships are open until June 1. You can find complete application rules on the Team DC website.
