At Outsports, we’re committed to bringing you quality content about LGBTQ people in sports, as well as issues facing the LGBTQ sports community. We’ve been giving life to these stories for 20 years, and now we’re looking to add more people to our team. Outsports is looking to fill several positions in the coming weeks. Each is a part-time, contract role that will be handled remotely and is compensated with a monthly stipend.

Outsports Deputy Manager
The deputy manager will assist the manager in running the day-to-day operations of the site as well as contributing content of their own.
Duties will include:
- Help the site manager ensure that the site is publishing every day, and at a volume high enough for the site to continue to grow.
- Assist with managing the site’s Facebook and Twitter accounts as needed, and help them continue to grow.
- Assist with recruiting, training and managing a staff of contributors that cover LGBTQ issues in sports and news on the site.
- Help with moderating and maintaining a vibrant, welcoming site community.
- Contribute five posts on LGBTQ issues in sports each week.
Our best candidates will:
- Have a passion for LGBTQ-related sports content and news and is already familiar with Outsports.
- Understand how to use popular social media networks, like Twitter and Facebook, and be willing to adapt to new best practices.
- Be able to produce and edit clean copy.
- Have the organizational skills to help manage a staff of multiple people.
- Be comfortable working in a remote environment.
- Preferably have some previous sportswriting experience.

Outsports Contributors
We’re looking for talented writers to help us cover out athletes and LGBTQ issues in sports. These can include columns, athlete profiles, news coverage and more.
Our best contributor candidates will:
- Have a passion for LGBTQ-related sports content and news and is already familiar with Outsports.
- Be able to produce and edit clean copy.
- Be comfortable working in a remote environment.
- Previous sportswriting experience is preferred.

Outsports Social Media Contributor
We’re looking for someone to help manage the site’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, engaging fans so our presence on both platforms continues to grow, as well as write occasional articles about LGBTQ athletes and issues in sports that impact the LGBTQ community.
Our best Social Media Contributor candidates will:
- Have a passion for LGBTQ-related sports content and news and will be already familiar with Outsports.
- Understand how to use popular social media networks, like Twitter and Facebook, and be willing to adapt to new best practices.
- Be comfortable working in a remote environment.
- Previous sportswriting experience is preferred.

We’re looking for someone who can manage the site’s already successful Instagram account, engaging fans so it continues to grow and expand the variety of content on the Instagram page and our reach on the platform.

- Have a passion for LGBTQ-related sports content and news and will be already familiar with Outsports.
- Have an eye for design.
- Be comfortable working in a remote environment.
