Outsports published its first pages in November 1999, so as we celebrate our 20th anniversary we thought it was a good time to hear from you on how you read the site. With that in mind, we would love you to take our reader survey.
Obviously, in 20 years a lot has changed in terms of the look of the site and the types of stories we cover. But what hasn’t changed is our commitment to cover LGBTQ people and issues in sports. We think visibility is the key to showing we are everywhere in athletics.
One of the first emails we got 20 years ago sums up our mission then and now, though we have greatly broadened our perspective: “One of the best things that’s happened to me since coming out has been discovering that I’m not the only queer out there who LOVES sports. Your site is awesome. I’m more of a casual watcher of football, but found your site to be informative, fun, and just gay enough to make me feel at home.”
We would really appreciate it if you could take our reader survey. It will take you a few minutes of your time but will be very valuable in helping know what stories interest you. Thanks and happy anniversary.
