One of the more powerful effects of LGBTQ celebrations, no matter how large or small they may be, is their ability to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for those hiding their sexuality to announce their truth to the world. Monday’s Bi Visibility Day provided the backdrop for one such coming out that strengthened the ranks of out LGBTQ pro wrestling.
WWE’s Piper Niven rang in the day of bisexual awareness and celebration by publicly coming out as bisexual. “Happy Bi Visibility Day! Guess who’s ready to tell the world,” Niven tweeted Monday morning with a cheeky picture of the Scottish NXT UK star pointing to herself.
Happy #BiVisibilityDay! 🥳

Niven joins Fred Rosser (known as Darren Young in WWE) and Sonya Deville as the only WWE talent to be publicly out while wrestling for the company.
Niven’s reveal garnered plenty of congratulatory responses from fellow wrestlers and wrestling-adjacent personalities, including All Elite Wrestling’s Nyla Rose, comedian and wrestling fan Ron Funches and co-host of the Marty & Sarah Love Wrestling podcast Sarah Shockey.
We at Outsports would like to offer our congratulations and support to Piper as she enters this new chapter! And to us, bisexuality visibility should be something celebrated every day.
