. Being someone who has been bullied for their sexuality, this day is very important to me. I got passed the negative comments. I got passed the harassment and name calling. I made it out of there alive, with some stories to tell on the side. I was so close to losing the never ending battle; to giving up and letting go of what I now cherish the most: being here today. For those young LGBTQ+ persons who lost their lives, we stand here today to fight for them, celebrate them, and honor them. We will never give in to bullying, and we will stay strong to come out the other side. Make sure you wear purple today and spread awareness about spirit day, it is very important that those who lost their lives are honored. Stay kind, and speak up. 💜🌈 #spiritday #purple #lgbt #honorthefallen
