Brittney Griner and her wife, Cherelle Griner, are expecting a baby.
That is the big news the couple shared on social media over the weekend.
It’s entirely possible that Baby Griner will be born during Pride Month. The couple used #July2024 in their Instagram post, saying they’re “less than three months away” from meeting their baby. It’s certainly possible that a Pride baby is on the way!

Brittney and Cherelle married during Pride Month 2019, on June 18. Cherelle is an attorney, who celebrated passing the bar exam just a couple years ago.
Either way, some time this year in about 2046, teams may be posturing to add a Griner to their roster in that year’s WNBA Draft. Of course, the baby could end up being a boy and find himself in the NBA Draft.
Brittney was the No. 1 pick by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2013 WNBA Draft.
