Bruce Mouat, the 2023 Outsports Male Athlete of the Year, skippers his team's world title defense, which continues into the final weekend.

The Scot skippered his curling team to World and European titles a year after winning Olympic silver, inspiring others to get into the sport.

Mouat and Team Scotland recently clinched the World Men’s Curling Championship title.

Along with partner Jennifer Dodds, the Scottish curler goes a perfect 6-0 in the Super Series preliminary at Ottawa.

Out curler Bruce Mouat and Team Great Britain lost a heartbreaker to Sweden, but they still leave with Team GB’s first medal in Beijing.

Mouat and the British men’s curling team will play Sweden for gold.

‘We’re all just athletes at the end of the day trying to compete for the same thing, regardless of sexuality and who we want to spend our lives with,’ Bruce Mouat says,
