Jim and I are huge fans of the Phil Hendrie Show, which is a syndicated radio show. He has done some classic interviews over the years, and they are being replayed via podcast (available through iTunes) every week day. The latest was a classic from 2002 that featured Bobby and Steve Dooley (regulars on the show) and the story of their son being molested by his junior high school basketball coach. Click here to listen, and if you want to know the catch that makes his show, including this episode, so funny, read on after the jump.

While Hendrie “interviews” many people over the course of his show, he’s actually doing all of the voices himself. The aim of the show is to get people riled up to call in and talk to him and his fake “guests.” So when the woman calls in screaming about Bobbie Dooley being a bad mother because she is thrilled with the publicity and movie deal she’s getting because her son was molested, the caller is actually just falling for Hendrie’s trap. While Hendrie does the voices really well, it’s the incensed callers that make the show so great and one of the most unique in the history of radio.

From time to time, we'll bring you some of Hendrie's best sports-related bits, because we just think they're hysterical classics.
