Olympic photos Day 8: Fastest man in the pool in swimming; start of track and field

Florent Manadudou, France

Day 8 saw the penultimate last day of swimming finals, with the men's 50 meters determining the fastest in the water (gold was won by Florent Manaudou of France), and with Michael Phelps winning another gold. So much for him being washed up.

We also have the start of track and field, tennis semifinals and weightlifting.
