Olympic speed walker Tom Bosworth of Great Britain had a fantastic Olympics, finishing an impressive sixth in his event and even leading the pack for a good chunk of the race.

Bosworth's Olympics got even better today when he proposed to his long-time boyfriend on the beach in Rio. Bosworth posted the photographic evidence on Instagram:

Could this week get any better? He said yes by the way! #Olympics #MarryMe #Love

"He" is Bosworth's boyfriend, Harry Dineley from Liverpool. You can find him on Instagram as well. Harry posted a picture of the ring on Twitter (which he doesn't use much, but I guess this occasion is just too special to not spread everywhere):

Bosworth is the second gay Olympian we know of who has gotten engaged in Rio. Brazilian rugby player Isadora Cerullo said "yes" to her girlfriend last week.

Huge congratulations to the happy couple, and we hope you spend many wonderful years together!
