New York Ramblers gay soccer team sells calendar for charity

The New York Ramblers gay soccer team has published a 2013 calendar, with some of the proceeds going to help a shelter for gay homeless youth damaged by Hurricane Sandy. From Shaun Hart of the Ramblers:

We created the calendar to raise funds to help send a team to the International Gay and Lesbian Soccer tournament in Antwerp, Belgium in July 2013. Proceeds are also being donated to the Ali Forney Center, which is an organization that houses homeless LGBT teens. The facility was devastated by Hurricane Sandy and proceeds from calendar sales will go toward rebuilding shelters that were destroyed.

The Ramblers worked with local sponsors (Set Shop, Rock bar, Gym Bar, 1-800 Postcards and Harney and Sons) to put out a really great calendar which highlights the fun, athletic atmosphere of the Rambler's club. We are a non-profit club that started in 1980, and the Ramblers was the first gay athletic club of it's kind in NYC.

You can buy the calendar here. Here are some of the players in the calendar:
