Outsports male athlete of the year: Robbie Rogers
The defender was a key cog in helping the L.A. Galaxy win the MLS title and has inspired others to come out. Figure skater Eric Radford is our runner-up.

Female hero of the year: Karen Morrison
Karen Morrison has helped changed the conversation about LGBT people in the NCAA. Nevin Caple has also helped break down barriers in women's sports.

Outsports male hero of the year: Conner Mertens
Conner Mertens selflessly gave his time and energy to many other young struggling gay and bisexual athletes, helping several of them come out publicly. High school coach Anthony Nicodemo and former NFL player Wade Davis also helped lead the way.
