Contest: Tweet pic of you in your Jason Collins No. 98 Nets jersey

You can win a donation to your favorite LGBT sports charity or a free Gay Games 9 registration. Either way, the NBA will donate part of your purchase to GLSEN or the Matthew Shepard Foundation!

To celebrate Jason Collins' second 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets, Outsports is hosting a contest to encourage everyone to buy his history No. 98 Nets jersey! As you may know, the NBA is donating proceeds of the jersey sales to GLSEN and the Matthew Shepard Foundation.

To enter the contest, just tweet a picture of you in your Jason Collins Brooklyn Nets No. 98 jersey to @Outsports with #Collins98Jersey. We'll select the five best photos and enter them in a public-voting contest on Outsports. The top vote-getter will get their choice of:

  • A general registration for Gay Games 9
  • A $200 donation to the LGBT Sports Coalition charity of your choice

The second-place entrant will get the remaining prize.

Collins jerseys can be purchased at the online NBA store for $69.95. The big decision you'll need to make: Home or away jersey?

The entry deadline is March 25 at 11:59pmPT - plenty of time to have the jersey delivered. To enter, simply tweet a photo of you in your Jason Collins Nets No. 98 jersey @Outsports with #Collins98Jersey. Make it creative -- You'll want to stand out to the judges! A winner will be announced by March 31.
