Plus, it was a big week for Michael Sam. Yet with the NFL season finally underway, Sam’s story will take a backseat until he makes the Dallas Cowboys‘ active roster and plays in a game. After months of intense scrutiny, it will probably be a good break for Sam to play in the background of the NFL for a while.
