WNBA star Layshia Clarendon married her girlfriend, Jessica Dolan, over the weekend at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza in Berkeley, where they went to college.

They shared some of the happy memories on Instagram:

Clarendon plays for the Atlanta Dream since being traded by the Indiana Fever last year. She was Outsports’ Female Hero of the Year in 2015.

Dolan manages Olympians and women for sports marketing and talent agency Wasserman. She previously worked for the Univ. of California women’s basketball team while Clarendon was playing on the team and leading Cal to its first-ever Final Four in 2013.

Earlier this year Dolan wrote a powerful blog item about being engaged to a black woman and how it has changed how she views the world:

When I saw the images of the men marching with torches across a college campus, I wasn’t surprised. I wasn’t surprised because I see the vile effects of racism everyday through the eyes of the person I love the most. The hurt, fear and anger isn’t flashing on my TV screen – it’s in my arms. No matter the grief, anger, fear or sadness I may feel when acts of violent racism are committed and splashed across the news; I know I don’t feel it the same way she does. I know this because I watch it in her, I see it effecting her in a deeper way. A personal way.

For her part, Clarendon has never shied away from making “activist” part of her role as “athlete,” speaking up about racism, sexism, homophobia and, earlier this year, sexual assault.

They are quite a sports power couple!

For now, it’s nice to see the two enjoying their honeymoon in Napa Valley:
