Eric Radford and Meagan Duhamel skated a nearly flawless free skate in the individual competition of the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

In the end the Canadian duo finished third overall and earned a bronze medal in the pairs skating of the Winter Olympics.

The pair had previously won a gold medal in the team event with Canada, posting the first- and second-best performances in the short program and free skate portions of that competition.

Radford came out publicly in 2014 in an article on Outsports. He talked about the importance of being openly gay and talking openly about his life.

He was the first openly gay male athlete to win an Olympic gold medal, and now he is the first openly gay athlete to win multiple Olympic medals.

Eric Radford is on Instagram @ericradford85.
