The San Diego Padres will kick off Major League Baseball’s LGBT Pride night calendar with Out at the Park, Friday April 27 at Petco Park against the New York Mets.

The game starts at 7 p.m. but the festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. with a pregame tailgate party that includes cocktails. The national anthem will be sung jointly by the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus, San Diego Women’s Chorus and San Diego Pride and Padres staff.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here. Admission will get Pride ticket buyers a commemorative hat that looks pretty cool. The Padres have made it possible for members of 14 San Diego LGBT sports leagues to buy ticket guaranteeing them seating with their group.

More than half of MLB’s 30 teams will have a Pride night, with the majority taking place in June, which is LGBT Pride month. We will have a complete list when it is finalized.
