Our first Outsports Trivia Night was a rip-roaring success!
The hour-long event featured two games to test our readers’ knowledge of LGBTQ sports, athletes, coaches and fans. It also featured some community chat and we spotlighted the games’ big winners!
The trivia night was run as a Zoom event, with players having to log onto Kahoot! with their phones to answer questions. You had to register with Zoom for the event ahead of time.
We played two games in the hour:
- LGBTQ Sports History. How well do you know LGBTQ sports history? Questions focused on people and events dating back to the 1970s. Ross Forman, head of media relations for IMPACT Wrestling, won this round.
- Outsports Headlines from the Last Year. The athletes and events who have shaped the last year for the LGBTQ community. Readers competed against Outsports contributor Ken Schultz, who was a runaway winner, and proved he not only writes for Outsports, but he reads it, too!
We used the app Kahoot! to play the game and had some fun! We hope to do another Trivia Night in the future.
