Each of the last three Super Bowls has had inclusion conversations and celebrations brought to the host city by gay former NFL Player Esera Tuaolo and his Hate Is Wrong organization. Super Bowl LV will be no different.
Hate Is Wrong will present both an Inclusion Panel and an Inclusion Party, but this year they won’t be accessible to only people in the host city, as both events will be held virtually.
Free tickets to both events can be reserved at eventbrite.
On Friday, Feb. 5, 8pmET, I’ll be moderating a star-studded cast of people in and around the sports world to talk about different aspects of LGBTQ inclusion in sports. The panelists include:
- Billy Bean, MLB Vice President and Ambassador for Inclusion
- Anne Doepner – Director of Inclusion for the Minnesota Vikings
- Andrea Jenkins, First openly trans women elected and Minneapolis City Council VP
- Carley Knox, Minnesota Lynx (WNBA) Vice President
- Tony Richardson, NFL Legends Community
- Barbara Roberts, former and first woman Governor of Oregon
- Bonnie Thurston, WNBA’s player programs
- Esera Tuaolo – Former NFL player and Executive Director of Hate is Wrong
On Saturday, Feb. 6, at 8pmET, will feature a celebration of inclusion, including performances by DJ Ryan Kenney, Fantine, Lillie McCloud and Tuaolo, who was a popular contestant on The Voice.
Outsports is proud to be one of Hate Is Wrong’s partners on these two events, along with the NFL, Minnesota Vikings, NFL Legends Community and others.
Be sure to reserve your spot here.
