Drag performer sings anthem at SF Giants game

New, comments

The Twitter feed for the Queers United blog ("the activist blog uniting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual, Asexual community & Allies in the fight for equality") had a link to this blog post from Joe.My.God. Donna Sachet, described on the blog as a "San Francisco drag legend," sang the national anthem before a San Francisco Giants game last week at AT&T Park. The post states that she is the first drag performer to sing the anthem at a major league baseball game. That may be true; I don't know of any others. Unfortunately, she didn't sing it very well. I know it's not an easy song to sing, but...well, take a look (after the jump):

At the very end there's an edit in the video. I wondered if there was a negative reaction from the crowd at the end, but I found another clip, which showed that no booing occurred.
