The 8th Annual Night OUT at the Washington Nationals was held on June 19 with an official final count for Team DC of 4,010! Team DC wants to thank everyone for being a part of this fun event and for showing our Pride throughout the entire ballpark. Not only does the Night OUT help support the ongoing work of Team DC, but it builds important relationships within our community, with our All Star Partners and the larger community in general. As was said years ago when the Gay Men's Chorus was asked to perform the National Anthem, it's one thing to sing in front of 1,400 of your fans and quite another to sing in front of 14,000 people who never knew there was a Gay Men's Chorus!

Speaking of the Chorus, congratulations to the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington for not just another superb rendition of the National Anthem last night, but for being given the Team Spirit Award from the Washington Nationals.

Thanks also to our other Special Guests including Congressman Jared Polis who threw out the first pitch, NAACP President Ben Jealous, and Sergeant Brett Parson who also participated in the pre-game ceremonies.

It is through on-going participation in the events such as these that we all can assist in eliminating LGBT bias and discrimination in sports.
