Out LA Galaxy player Robbie Rogers recently visited the LA Gay & Lesbian Center, and MTV’s blog tagged along. Rogers talks about the ban on gays in the Boy Scouts of America, same-sex marriage and other issues.
It's interesting that he doesn't understand why we're still talking about this when it was just four months ago that he was deeply closeted. But he has come out of his shell since coming out and walking away from soccer. His own perceptions of where society is and should be on issues like this have clearly shifted, which is great. Not only was he light years away from visiting any gay & lesbian center just a couple months ago, but he was spotted at gay pride two weeks ago, and at the Abbey this weekend.
