As part of our Outsports Reunion at Denver Pride this month, we are hosting a public storytelling event featuring various LGBT people in sports. Some of them have shared their stories on Outsports, and some have not.
The event is being held at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, June 17, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and attendance is free.
The event is being co-presented by Nike’s BeTrue, in partnership with the You Can Play project. Hors d'oeuvres will be served, and there will be a cash bar.
We have some incredible speakers with powerful stories lined up, including:
- Erik Braverman — vice-president with the Los Angeles Dodgers
- Conner Curnick — member of the U.S. Navy
- Athena Del Rosario — soccer goalie for Univ. of California Santa Cruz
- Jacob Jean & Jeff Snyder — Michigan State cheerleading teammates
- Samuel Johnson — ultimate player and singer
- Flo King — sports inclusion trainer
- Sarah Kogod — sports writer, editor and media executive
- Lauren Neidigh — former Univ. of Arizona swimmer
- Jarrin Williams — former college athlete and current coach
The event will be held in Downtown Denver at the Studio Loft of the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
We hope you’ll join us!
